I’m Luke, I'm a Design Lead, creator of things and adventurer.
My previous 6 years of experience includes time at Smart, OVO, SJP Wealth Management, Corgi Home Plan and FutureSight.
About me
As a Design Lead, I'm able to bring together my two biggest passions; people, and technology. I believe that curiosity is the key to being able to deliver value to people and businesses. Through curiosity, I explore the problems, motivations, and behaviours of the people I'm building products and services for.
To help understand problems and gain insight, I utilise the wide range of tools involved in the UX process, from workshopping, user research, prototyping, usability testing, and running design sprints.
I have experience working within teams and leading them, most recently I’m a Design Lead within an agency, working with a team of 7 designers, from juniors to midweight, across the globe.
CRM Re-design
To migrate data from SSE to OVO, we needed to rebuild the insurance platform where we store and manage our customer data, this was a full platform re-design.
Realtime smart energy platform
A transformation project to re-platform and take all Smart data in-house and reduce reliability on 3rd party providers.
A renewed UI experience for pension holders
With an outdated, difficult-to-use customer experience. We set about the task of creating a modernised easy to use experience for pension holders
Design Sprints and workshopping
I advise using Design Sprints to compress work that would usually take months into days. We can cut the fat out of the standard design process to launch products faster so we can learn from real user data, not guesswork.
